Important Note
If you are selected to be in the show you audition for there is a Cast Fee that is due no later than the 3rd week of rehearsal.
Responsibility and Waiver


1. Players will accept the responsibility to learn lines, attend all required rehearsals, performances, and promotional events for any part given to them by Aviano Community Theatre.

2. All players will be financially responsible for any lost or unreasonably damaged scripts, vocal scores, costumes, props, etc. which are provided to them by Aviano Community Theatre.

3. The director in conjunction with the board of Aviano Community Theatre reserves the right to dismiss any player who is negligent in attending rehearsals, learning lines, and for general irresponsibility.

4. The consumption of alcohol will not be tolerated before and during rehearsals, promotional activities, or performances.

5. The director has final authority over all decisions regarding this production. Any/all changes regarding costuming, rehearsal, set, lights, sound…etc., must be approved by the director.

6. If you are chosen to participate in the production, there is a $35.oo fee that is required from each performer. This production fee is to help in the cost of rights to the productions, costumes that are necessary to either rent or have made, paint and other set needs, etc. The costumes will either be returned to the rental company or if made, will remain the property of ACT.



Stage Crew Information

If you are interested in being a part of our show but do not want to sing or dance we have a place for you! We are always looking for hard working people to take care of our behind the scenes action. Here is a list of some of the jobs available:

Stage Manager-​ Assists Director through out rehearsal and production process, taking blocking and rehearsal notes, prompting, staying in contact with cast and crew, Communicating call times and smooth run of production during performance.

Crew Manager- Is responsible for sure that all sets are ready for placement and that your stage crew know when and where to put them throughout technical rehearsals and performances.

Fly Rail Operator- Is responsible for the sets that are attached to the fly rail system. Must be able to raise & lower the rails safely.

​ Prop Master- Is responsible for all props used in the production. Keeps count of the props & makes them ready for the actors to use. At the end of each show puts them where they will need to be for the start of the next show.

Light Operator- Works with the director to set the lights for the show and operates the lights during rehearsals & performances.

House Manager- Sets up the refreshment table and helps with the cast on setting up and breaking down the house after the shows.

Designers or Crew Heads- Help to design/create Set, Costume, Makeup Lighting in line with the Director's vision and coordinates crew of workers to build what's needed, etc. ​

If you would like to audition for our upcoming shows or participate in off stage roles, you will be asked to fill out an information form at the audition. At this time no prepared pieces are required for auditions. You will be asked to sing part of a song from the show for which you are auditioning and the director might also ask you to read for a role from the script. If you are interested in dancing there is some choreography that is taught to you during the auditions that you will perform in small groups for the director. You do not have to be a professional to be in any part of the show. We are always looking for new faces and hope to see you in one of our upcoming shows!
